  don't know if this is a global thing but i've just been told by a pimo member of my old congregation that a min servant has been given the task of destroying all old books/literature in the kh library prior to 1992.. could be the elders (or even one of them) on a mission to stamp out dissent as my ex-wife used the same reasoning to her elder dad that i used in my jc: rutherfords books containing failed predictions.. anyone else heared anything?.

  the ms who's been given the task is a company man.

  no hope of him keeping them or selling them on ebay.. they have some russell books in that library too.

  Look up the hateful and hurtful background of those phrases.

  Rappers get by with those things because they belong to the group they're seemingly disparaging. (Not that I listen to or approve of their disgusting lyrics).

  Sort of like YOU can call your kids names, but no one else can.

  In 2008, Mr. Johnson apologized for his piccaninnies and watermelon remarks.

  Even though he may have resorted to sarcasm to make a point, he realized his words were hurtful.

  What may seem minor to some could have major implications for others.

  What if certain ones who had the power made damn sure that very few positives happened in her life?

  What if the Commander-in-Chief, by word and deeds, encouraged such ones?

  What if the investigation was partial towards the status quo?

  What if the activists were those who had simply been pushed to the breaking point?

  What if there were decades-long patterns of profiling and abuse directed against her?

  What I believe Fink meant is that Obama brought to the fore the latent bias against Black people that was supposedly eradicated by Civil Rights legislation.

  Actually, John Arthur "Jack" Johnson did not have to do any fanning.

  Racism, aka Jim Crow, was in full flame during his tenure as HW champ, and continues to this day.

  Johnson flaunted his ability to attract White women, knocked out Jeffries in 1910, setting off race riots across the USA.

  William Waring Cuney, a Harlem Renaissance poet, paid tribute to the fight in his poem, My Lord, What a Morning.

  I remember old-timers referring to this and the Joe Louis/Max Schmeling fight of 1938 as if it had just recently happened.

  As I learned at Uni, HISTORY is an unsparing discipline.
